  • Overview

Display screen equipment (DSE) is part of everyday working life, from control rooms and offices to tablets used out in the field. This DSE Awareness course gives learners the knowledge they need to recognise the risks of prolonged screen use, set up their workstation correctly and build habits that protect their long-term health.

Learners will explore what DSE is and who qualifies as a DSE user under the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, the health risks linked to DSE use, and how to correctly position their chair, screen, keyboard, mouse and lighting. They will also learn about employers' duties for workstation assessments and eye tests, how to report symptoms or request an assessment, and the good habits that help reduce strain throughout the working day.
