    In hazardous industries, maintaining mental wellbeing is just as critical as managing physical safety risks. Stress, fatigue and mental strain can affect concentration, decision-making and communication, significantly increasing the likelihood of workplace incidents. 

    This Mental Health at Work Awareness course provides essential knowledge to help learners recognise the impact of mental health on safety and wellbeing in high-risk environments. It equips individuals with the confidence to identify early warning signs, support colleagues and access appropriate help. By the end of the course, learners will understand how mental health influences workplace safety, how to reduce stigma and how to contribute to a more supportive and resilient working environment.

    This course combines high-impact visuals, clear narration and interactive activities to guide learners through:

    • The importance of mental wellbeing in safety-critical environments
    • Common mental health challenges in high-risk industries, including stress, anxiety and burnout
    • Early warning signs or poor wellbeing - emotional, behavioural and physical
    • The impact of stigma and how workplace culture influences help-seeking behaviour
    • Practical techniques for starting supportive conversations and listening effectively
    • Workplace and external support options, including EAPs, NHS Talking Therapies, Mind, and Samaritans
    • Everyday wellbeing practices that support both personal health and workplace safety  
  • Assessment & certification

    This Mental Health at Work Awareness training course ends with a 10-question multiple choice test with a downloadable certificate.

    User certificates, training programmes and results are all stored centrally in your LMS and can be accessed at any time to reprint certificates, check pass marks and act as proof of a commitment to ongoing legal compliance.
