First Aid Awareness

This CPD-accredited First Aid Awareness course provides essential, upfront knowledge to help learners recognise life-threatening conditions and respond effectively until professional help arrives.

This course provides learners with the essential knowledge needed to deliver safe and effective first aid within hazardous industries. By the end of the course, participants will be able to recognise life-threatening conditions and respond appropriately, offering timely, effective care to preserve life and prevent further harm until professional help is available

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

LO1: Explain how to manage a first aid incident
LO2: Explain the ‘C’-A-B-C Principle

• Catastrophic bleeding
• Airway
• Breathing
• Circulation

LO3: Explain how and when to use Automated External Defibrillators (AED)
LO4: Explain signs, symptoms and treatment for external and internal bleeding
LO5: Explain signs, symptoms and treatment for shock
LO6: Explain different incident types:

• Burns
• Chemical contact to the eyes
• Heart attack and stroke
• Hypothermia
• Fractures

LO7: Explain head to toe examination

This course combines high-impact visuals, clear narration, and interactive activities to guide learners through: 

• Real-world scenarios in hazardous industries
• Key emergency procedures and response techniques
• Safe use of first aid equipment, including AEDs and tourniquets
• Principles of shock management and injury recognition
• How to perform a primary survey and manage multiple casualty types 

This First Aid Awareness training course ends with a 10-question multiple choice test with a downloadable certificate. 

User certificates, training progress, and results are all stored centrally in your LMS and can be accessed any time to reprint certificates, check and set pass marks, and act as proof of a commitment to ongoing legal compliance.

Your First Aid Awareness training certificate includes your name, company name (if applicable), name of course taken, pass percentage, date of completion, expiry date and stamps of approval or accreditations by recognised authorities.
