The Problem

As a utilities industry leader, National Gas were faced with increasing risks to operational integrity and data security. Existing training wasn’t keeping pace with the evolving cyber threat landscape, leaving employees without the confidence or skills to spot and respond to potential incidents.

Without comprehensive cyber security training, National Gas faced risks that extended beyond the loss of critical information assets. Inadequate awareness could undermine employee confidence, compromise compliance with strict industry regulations, and ultimately damage the organisation’s reputation as a trusted operator in the UK’s energy sector.

The Solution

To meet this challenge, National Gas partnered with Chorus to design tailored e-Learning content that put cyber security awareness at the heart of its workforce development.

Led by Geri Wynne, the project focused on creating training that was practical, engaging, and accessible to every employee, no matter their technical background. The bespoke e-Learning modules explored key areas such as phishing, password security, data protection, and incident reporting.

“The content we are building with Chorus is far superior to what we’ve seen before. Using animation as the basis for the training helped us keep the content modular for multiple applications, and significantly increased knowledge retention. Rory and his team are fantastic at what they do!”
