We’re excited to introduce the newest member of our creative team, Vicky Steggall, who joins Chorus as a media developer. With a strong background in e-learning, visual design and motion graphics, Vicky brings a wealth of experience and creativity to the table.
Since joining, Vicky has hit the ground running – playing a key role in overseeing the design and development of high-impact visuals that enhance our e-learning modules. Her keen eye for detail and passion for storytelling have already made her an invaluable part of the team.
We caught up with Vicky to hear more about her journey so far, what excited her about the role and what it’s like being part of the team.
Tell me about your career background before joining Chorus?
“I’ve been in the e-learning sector for more than 12 years now – which I sometimes struggle to wrap my head around! Before Chorus, I worked for a company called RelyOn for just over five years, which specialised in providing safety, compliance and competence services along with a range of training solutions. My day-to-day role there was very similar to what I’m doing now at Chorus.
“Prior to that, I worked for a company called Atlas, now known as Mintra. That’s where I started my journey into the world of e-learning and developed a lasting passion for design over the following seven plus years.”
When did you join Chorus and what attracted you to your role?
“I’ve been with Chorus since March 2025. One of the key things that attracted me to this role was the prospect of being able to challenge and push the boundaries of what’s possible in digital learning. The chance to be part of a company that integrates cutting-edge technologies like motion graphics and interactive media was incredibly appealing.”
What are your key responsibilities at Chorus?
“My key responsibilities include overseeing the design and development of e-learning modules and collaborating closely with instructional designers and subject matter experts to ensure that learning materials are both engaging and effective. I also focus on incorporating motion graphics and interactive elements to enhance the user experience.”
Can you share insights into any exciting projects or career highlights so far?
“Even though I’ve only been at Chorus for a short while, I’ve already had the opportunity to meet with one of our clients for a face-to-face meeting. This wasn’t something I would have typically been involved in at my previous roles, so it’s been really insightful to witness how the early stages of a project unfold.
“I’ve also had the opportunity to work alongside a very talented motion designer. Watching and learning from him has been hugely inspiring and has definitely helped to keep my own creative cogs turning.”
What trends or innovations in media development and motion graphics excite you the most right now?
“AI is very much a hot topic right now. I’ve heard multiple opinions both for and against it, but as a media developer, seeing the incorporation of AI tools into the software I use on a day-to-day basis (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator) has been hugely eye-opening. Tasks that would in the past, have potentially taken an hour or so, can now be completed in a matter of minutes. I very much look forward to seeing how graphic creation continues to evolve over the next year. The technology can only continue to get better from here!”
What do you enjoy most about working at Chorus and what are you looking forward to?
“I love the creative freedom we have here at Chorus. I’m able to explore new ideas and technologies, and I appreciate how every project presents its own set of unique challenges which allows me to grow as both a designer and a problem solver. The culture here is incredibly collaborative, and everyone is keen to push the boundaries of e-learning.”
Outside of work, do you have any creative passions or interests that influence your approach to design?
“I love spending time in nature with my four-legged companion, Ozzo. Having time away from the screen helps me clear my head, recharge and let my mind wander. You’d be surprised how much inspiration comes just from witnessing your everyday surroundings.
“I’m also a huge fan of TV and movie sequences. One of my all-time favourites is “Catch Me If You Can” - the animated sequence was, I believe, inspired by the minimalist graphic design of Saul Bass. I love observing all the intricacies of the design and thinking about how I can incorporate similar ideas into my own designs.”
